Powder Coating

WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is a method of applying a protective or decorative finish to a wide range of products. The powder used for the process is a mixture of pigment and resin, which is sprayed electrostatically. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded part until heated and fuse into a uniform coating in a curing oven.

BENEFITS OF POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is significantly more durable than liquid paint. It is extremely resistant to chips, abrasion and a variety of chemicals.  With an endless choice of colors and textures you can virtually have it painted your way.  Powder coating is also enviromentally friendly because it is solvent free. 

WHAT CAN I USE IT ON?

Anything that can withstand 400 - 500oF for up to 20 minutes.  Materials such as rubber, plastic, gaskets, foam insulation, bushings, paper must be removed prior to powder coating.   If your not sure if something can be done or you have an idea, please feel free to contact us for more information.
